Halloween at The Rising Sun — Live Music, Fancy Dress & a Feast

Mark it in red ink, get the costume out of the attic — Halloween at The Rising Sun is coming, and this year we're doing it properly.

Saturday 31st October.

Jonny Ringo and The Cowboys playing 8-10pm. A best fancy dress competition with a genuine prize for the winner, so make an effort — the spookier, the better. And when the dancing and singing make you hungry, we've got you covered with a proper Halloween feast: choose between a Lamb or a Vegetable Curry, both built to keep you going deep into the night.

Here's the bit we're genuinely excited about: this all happens right besides the beach at Portmellon. Picture it — the music blaring, a room full of costumes, the tide somewhere out in the dark past the beer garden, and a plate of something hot in your hand. It doesn't get more Halloween than that.

And if the idea of a taxi home at midnight in a costume doesn't appeal, don't worry about it — book one of our rooms and fall straight into bed the second the party's over. The Green Room and The Blue Room are both right upstairs, so instead of watching the clock, you can just enjoy the whole night and worry about tomorrow, tomorrow.

No booking needed for the party itself — just turn up in your best costume and get stuck in. Rooms are a different story, though, and Halloween weekend won't hang around, so if you want to stay, don't leave it too late.
