Meet Our Neighbours: Bodrugan Barton

Next up in getting to know our neighbours properly: Bodrugan Barton, just outside Mevagissey.

Where we do two rooms above the pub, Bodrugan do something rather different — a proper collection of self-catering cottages (Rowards, Swallows, Rockpool, and Shell Seekers among them), a studio, and Wigwam Holidays glamping, all set on what feels like a genuine working farm turned into one of the loveliest holiday bases near Mevagissey. They're close to Heligan Gardens and the Roseland Peninsula too, so it's a properly well-placed spot for exploring further afield.

It's exactly the kind of stay that suits a different visitor to the ones we're set up for — families wanting space to spread out over a week, self-catering flexibility, and somewhere with room to properly settle in, rather than a couple of nights above a pub. If you're planning a longer stay, or there's a group of you needing more space than our two rooms can offer, Bodrugan is genuinely one of the best options nearby, and we'll happily point people their way.

And since self-catering means cooking for yourselves most nights, we'd like to think we're a pretty good answer to "where shall we eat tonight" for anyone staying with them — Selkie Cove on a Wednesday to Sunday evening or Join us for our popular Pizza and Quiz night on a Tuesday.

Good neighbours make a good visit even better. Go take a look at what they've got — bodrugan.co.uk.
