Dish Spotlight: Grilled Local Octopus

Not every dish on Selkie Cove is designed to be shared without a bit of a fight over who gets the last piece, but the Grilled Local Octopus definitely is.

We char-grill it properly, so you get that smoky, slightly crisp edge, finished simply with olive oil and a zesty parsley, garlic and lemon gremolata that cuts right through the richness. It's local, it's simple, and it lets the octopus do the talking rather than burying it under too much else.

It's one of those dishes that looks impressive on the table and tastes even better than it looks — a proper centrepiece if you're building a spread of Selkie Cove plates for the table.

Selkie Cove runs Wednesday to Sunday — book a table or wander in and see what's fresh.
